Older Toddler Class

Ages 2-3

During the older toddler years, children continue developing their fine motor skills, gross motor development, and their awareness of the world around them. We provide specially designed materials to support this development. Toddlers need ample time on the playground to further their gross motor skills and exploration. We use our playgrounds as an extension of the classroom.

As your child shows increasing development in independence, they will be encouraged to do as many things as possible, like putting on their shoes, gathering supplies for nap time, and cleaning up their toys. We observe for signs that they are ready for potty training and work with our parents to develop individual strategies to facilitate the transition from diapers to pull-ups to underwear.
